Ozark is a county seat with an established downtown and landmarks such as the historic Claybank Log Church. Around the city, older homes and additions may have varied foundations, porches, crawl spaces, and utility penetrations. Those details matter when checking for rodents or insects: a gap behind a pipe, an unused storage area, or moisture near a fixture can influence where activity appears.
As you move from town lots to wooded edges and open land, outdoor conditions change. Vegetation, leaf litter, stored materials, and drainage can shelter pests. We inspect the structure and yard for the signs you have found. Mention past leaks, crawl-space access, or recent repairs when you call; these details help the technician choose where to look first.
Fire ants and mosquitoes can be noticeable during the warm, rainy months. Mounds may appear in lawns and along sunny edges; mosquitoes can use small pockets of standing water after storms. Wasps and hornets may build around eaves, outbuildings, and sheltered landscaping. Keeping paths and gathering areas in mind helps prioritize what a service visit should assess. After rain, check sunny lawn edges for fresh mounds and keep people and pets away.
Inside older homes, roaches may hide near food, water, and warm appliances, while mice or rats can use gaps around garages, crawl spaces, and utility lines. Rodent activity may become more obvious in fall or winter as animals look for shelter, but indoor signs can appear in any season. Droppings, gnaw marks, and repeated sounds should be documented and shared with a technician.
We ask what you have seen, which rooms or outdoor areas are affected, and when the activity occurs. The technician inspects those locations, reviews the findings with you, and explains targeted treatment, preparation, and access.
Ask about scheduled service if pests return with the seasons or regular inspections suit your property. For older homes, tell us about maintenance concerns; the owner or a qualified contractor may need to handle structural repairs. Business owners can point out receiving areas, waste storage, and customer entrances. We review the findings and plan follow-up within the agreed service scope. Before a visit, clear a path to affected rooms and let us know if a crawl space, shed, or garage is locked.

Steve was fantastic! He was so kind and courteous and explained everything very thoroughly. I own a business so it’s very important for me to shop locally and support our small businesses in the area. I’m very glad to have a peace of mind that our home is free of any pests!

Called a pest control company and they never responded. Called Pest-Ex and they sent a tech out the very next day. Steve was very professional and a joy to talk with. He sprayed the perimeter of the house and I started to see the effects immediately. He didn't try to upsell any services that I didn't need. Pest-Ex earned my trust! Their rates are fair and reasonable if not better than the national chains. With that being said, we signed up for the quarterly treatment option. I don't normally give 5 stars, but Pest-Ex really impressed me!!! Thank you Pest-Ex!
